Setting the Wi-Fi Regulatory Domain for Huawei ONTs

HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)

Hi,

Last week, we used the TL1 command to modify the regulatory domains of all ONTs on the network.

However, when the status was verified over the weekend, we found that the regulatory domains of about 9000 ONTs were restored to the default settings. I've tested it by simply rebooting the ONT, but the regulatory domain remains the same. Factory reverting ONTs does not restore domains to default values, but approximately 9000 ONTs are unlikely to reboot in a few days.

Please help identify the root cause of reverting regulatory domain settings to defaults and how to avoid this situation.

Thanks!

Hi friend.

Check whether the ONT is customized for a region. If the ONT is customized for a region, the ONT can be configured only in the regulatory domain of the region. For example, if your ONT is customized for Europe, you cannot set the regulatory domain to the US or other regions except Europe.

If you really need to modify it, contact your local engineer for assistance.

Thanks.
