Hi there!
This time, I will share with you a case about services that were not restored after the OSN1800 was powered off for a short period.
Problem Description
Three OptiX OSN 1800s form a chain network: A-B-C.
Point B was an electrical regeneration site. One day, the equipment room at point B was powered off. After the power-on, services at point AC ware interrupted, and the ELOM board of the OSN 1800 at site B was displayed as offline.
The user used the ELOM board to provision GE services from point A to point C. The RMON performance data shows that a large number of bad packets are received between points A and C. The optical power at point ABC is normal and no bit error occurs.
Handling Process
1. We could reset the two ELOM boards at point B.
2. Checked the RMON performance statistics at point A and point C. The error packets were cleared and services were restored.
Root Cause
If the NE reports a software loss alarm, the board becomes abnormal. Generally, you can reload the software package to restore services.
That's all, welcome everyone to leave a message and exchange in the comment area!
Thank you!
