This time, I will share with you a case about services are Interrupted after the OSN 1500 restarts.
A customer configures an Ethernet service between two OSN 1500 devices. After the service is delivered, the communication between the client devices is normal. However, after one OSN 1500 device is powered off and restarted, services cannot be restored.
Check the alarm indicator of the restarted device. It is found that no alarm is generated but the network port indicator is off.
Check the data configuration on the U2000. It is found that the configuration data on the restarted device is lost and the opposite station reports the LOF alarm.
After confirming with the onsite personnel, it is confirmed that the new data is powered off and then restarted. However, after the data of Huawei OSN 1500 is configured, the data is automatically backed up in 30 minutes by default. Therefore, the data is lost. You are advised to manually back up the data to the SCC board after the configuration.
The backup process is as follows:
1. Main Menu/Configuration/NE Configuration Data Management
2. Select NEs to be backed up and move them from the left pane to the right pane.
3. Select an NE, click Backup NE Data in the lower left corner, and select Backup to SCC Board.
4. Click YES.
5. After about 5 minutes, the system displays a message indicating that the operation is successful.
