Hello, according to the documentation on this alarm, it can be generated by several factors:
A serial port, telnet, or NMS user sends a reset command.
The service card is not connected correctly or was removed.
The card hardware is failing.
****Service card fails to communicate with active control card.***
Service card shuts down due to high temperature of service card or control card.
The service card automatically shuts down due to main power outage.
The service card automatically shuts down without service setting.
A user changes the working mode of the card and the card is reset.
A user executes a board prohibit or undo board prohibit command.
A user issues a command to shut down the service card.
In our case, it is reported due to loss of communication with the control card, therefore we must check with the display log command if any user executed a reset command on it, if not.
Check that the card has been installed correctly and is inserted correctly.
If the LED indicator flashes 0.25 seconds on and .25 seconds off, the service card is loading software.
After the card starts, this alarm clears automatically.
If the green LED blinks 1 second on and 1 second off, the card is working properly.
IF the LED is solid red, the card has a problem.
(In this case it is important to validate the card in another slot, and replace it with the same card to verify if it is a problem with the card or the slot)
NOTE:
The duration of how long it takes for a card after a reset to reach a normal state is as follows:
Control Card: approximately 15 minutes
Service Card: approximately 5 minutes
