Problem Description
【Problem Summary】Customer requires to merge the management of their NE's From a old server to New One
【Problem Details】Customer requires to merge the management of their NE's From one to another server, right now the customer have 2 NMS, one in version V100R008 where they handle the SDH equipment , and now they want that the management of those NE's will be avaliable on the on the actual server (Version V200R014C60CP2102)
Problem Analysis
When we try to import the script from the old server the New server with the version V200R014C60CP2102 shows the following issue "
-No.0-nemgr_trans_1 exceeds the maximum management capability range, please add instance. Operation failed Exceeds the maximum management capability range.Error Code: 1090724440
-No.0-nemgr_trans_2 exceeds the maximum management capability range, please add instance. Operation failed Exceeds the maximum management capability range.Error Code: 1090724440
-No.0-nemgr_trans_3 exceeds the maximum management capability range, please add instance. Operation failed Exceeds the maximum management capability range.Error Code: 1090724440
Reviewing we find out that the actual number of capacity of the Server was on 2000
So the actual capacity dont support all the NE that we need to import because its around 5000 the capacity that we need
Root Cause
All the NE we need to import dont support the actual capacity of the server. We must expand the capacity to find out if we can import the script of the old Sever
Solution Description
【Resolution Summary】 To resolve the issue we need to go to administration=->Settings-> NE partition and over the name of the server we righ-click and choose the option expand capacity, after this we can expand to 20000 due to the license that has this features but the the characteristics of the server only support yo 6000 (m4000 Model standar oracle solaris 10)
【Resolution Details】
After we expand the capacity to 6000 we can import the script of the old server and have all the ne in management.
