Search Rules
Enter a keyword in the search box and press Enter or click the Search icon. Then the desired information is displayed.
The search rules are as follows:
- Keywords are case-insensitive. For example, you will obtain the same search results if you enter configuration, Configuration, or CONFIGURATION in the search box.
- A search using multiple keywords separated by spaces will return results that contain all the keywords. For example, a search for install application will return all documents containing both install and application.
- Use double quotation marks for an exact search. For example, a search for "data configuration" will return all documents containing the exact phrase data configuration.
-
An asterisk or star (*) indicates zero or multiple characters.
For example, a search for data* will return not only documents
containing data, but also those containing all the words that build
upon the root data, such as database or datagram.
NOTE:
If the keyword entered contains asterisks (*), at least two characters( excluding wildcard character) must be included to ensure search efficiency and accuracy. - A question mark (?) indicates one character. For example, a search for ?2000 will return documents containing a word with five characters and ended with 2000, such as M2000 or N2000.
- The full-text search scope covers the document title, abstract, keywords, and text.
-
If you enter keywords in the search box at the top of the page,
the information is searched in Enterprise Support by default.
You can specify the search scope or change the search scope on the
result page.
NOTE:
If you need to search for the information in the Huawei Support Community channel, click Huawei Support Community in the channel selection area on the result page. - You search only for Chinese information if the language of the GUI is Chinese and only for English information if the language is English. You can change the website language on the upper part of the result page.
-
You can obtain more search results after logging in. The search
scope depends on user's permission. The search results vary according
to user's permission even if the same keyword is used.
NOTE:
If a

The highlights are as follows:

For example, when users enter trouble, a list of recommended searches are provided, including troubleshooting and troubleshooting cases. After user selecting the desired word and press Enter, the results related to the word will be displayed.
- The synony search function enables you to find the synonyms of a keyword based on Huawei's proprietary telecommunications synonym file. For example, when you search for mirror, mirror and backup can be found.
- The XXX search function enables you to use one keyword to find all documents containing words with the same root as the keyword. For example, a XXX search for communicate will return not only documents containing communicated, but also those containing communication, communicable, communicates, or communicating.
- Users can filter search results by product, resource type, or release date. For details, see Narrowing the Search Scope.

- Huawei Support website allows you to filter search results by product, resource type, or release date. For example, if you need to search for the documents related to installation and upgrade, choose Installation and Upgrade Resource Type.
- If the required filter criteria cannot be found on the left of the search result page, it is recommended that you do not perform a search. If the filter criteria is absent, a search operation will not return any results. For example, if you cannot find the Wireless > WiMAX node under Filtered By Product, the search results will not contain the contents related to WiMAX.
- When you enter another keyword in the search box, the existing filter criteria will be used to filter the search results.
-
