Hi there!
This time, I will share with you a case about that SDH services cannot be configured because the attributes of the OSN 1800 V subrack are not set.
Problem Description
1. When an SDH service is created on an OSN 1800V, a message is displayed, indicating that the configured cross-connect capacity exceeds the license limit, and the error code 43888 is displayed:

Troubleshooting roadmap
Possible causes:
1. The license for creating the SDH service is missing from the NCE license.
2. The required service type is not configured on the NE subrack.
Handling Process
1. Check whether the NCE license contains the license of the created service.
Open the System Settings APP of the NCE.
Choose from the main menu.
Select iManager OmniSight-T as the license type. Search for OptiX OSN 1800 products.

From the checking result, the NCE license already contains the SDH function license.
2. Check whether the required service type is configured for the service type item in the NE subrack.
Open the Network Management APP of the NCE.
Double-click the NE icon in the main window to open the NE panel. Right-click 0: subrack. Select to Modify Shelf Attribute.

From the checking result, the service type is None.
4. Modified the service type from none to SDH+OTN(based on the customer’s service configuration plan).
Click the drop-down arrow on the right of the Service Type text box, select SDH+OTN, then click Apply.

After the service type of the subrack is changed, the SDH service configuration is successful at this OSN1800V.
Root cause
SDH Services Fail to Be Created on an OSN 1800V Because the Service Type Is set to NONE in the subrack attributes.
Solution
Modified the service type from None to SDH+OTN.
Summary
During NE deployment and commissioning, we must set the correct subrack service type according to the customer's plan. Otherwise, the service configuration may fail.
Thank you!
