HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)

I have SMC2.0 (V600R019C10SPC900) already installed and configured.

I want to migrate it to a new Hardware, and install second SMC2.0 node.

How I can do that?

Hello, friend!

Have a nice day!

Direct migration is not supported. You can only install the SMC2.0 on the new hardware and import the configured SMC2.0 database and configuration to the new SMC2.0. The specific method is as follows:
1. Install the SMC2.0 on the new hardware. For details, see the Installation Guide (Bare Metal Server).

Note: The version of the newly installed SMC2.0 must be the same as that of the installed SMC2.0, and an IP address has been configured for the newly installed SMC2.0.
2. Back up data, including the database and configuration, on the SMC2.0 that has been installed and configured.
3. Import the data backed up in step 2 to the newly installed SMC2.0. Reference documents for backing up and restoring data.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for your reply.

Please note that currently I have single node of SMC2.0.
and I want to add second node of SMC2.0.
can I use the backup data (including the database and configuration) from the current SMC2.0, and restore it on the two new nodes?

Hello,

What is SMC2.0 two-node cluster?

The SMC2.0 two-node cluster is implemented based on the cluster service provided by the Windows Server operating system to improve SMC2.0 reliability and stability. When the active SMC2.0 is faulty, its services are automatically taken over by the standby SMC2.0 to ensure high stability of the videoconferencing system.

What should I pay attention to when installing the SMC2.0 two-node cluster?

l   Before installing clusters, plan related data. After the installation, do not modify the computer names, IP addresses, domain names, cluster names (including the failover cluster name, SQL Server cluster name, and SMC2.0 cluster name) and SQL Server network names of nodes.

l   During the cluster installation, ensure that the operating system, database, and patches use the same language.

How to install the SMC2.0 two-node cluster?

Log in to Huawei Enterprise Technical Support Website, enter CloudEC in the search box, and click the predicted node in the search result. On the Documentation tab page of the CloudEC product page, download the product documentation of the required version. Perform the installation of the SMC2.0 two-node cluster refer to Installation and Configuration > Installation > Software Installation Guide.

Dear User

I highly recommend that you contact your local office for any changes you want to make.

It is very important to note that any changes that may affect services (such as an update) must be reported and planned with the local office and an RFC. Also take a look at the product documentation for this version.
