This post will tell you one issue for SCC board were not performing backup on OSN 3500.
Problem description
SCC board were not performing backup on OSN 3500.
Handling procedure
Check the command output
:hbu-get-backup-info
Output is“Backup-Info : 0x00000000”
If the output is “Backup-Info : 0x00000003” then it shows active and standby GSCC are sync. But output shows no sync. as a result of which if at any time GSCC board gets faulty on active slot NE will lost its configurations although NE switches to standby SCC.
Check alarms found no alarm on NE. Also, check the performance of GSCC found no abnormality of temperature on the SCC board.
Root cause
Due to abnormal behaviour of SCC card backup was not occuring on NE.
Solution
Warm reset to the active GSCC if there is no abnormal alarm on NE. After warm reset check backup on command line using the following command;
:hbu-get-backup-info) command and if output is “Backup-Info : 0x00000003”.
