5.4.3 Favorites

The IVS system provides view favorites and camera favorites.

5.4.3.1 View Favorites

You can add frequently used views to a favorites folder so that you can quickly switch among views.

Background

The following can be saved as views:

Camera connections
Live video pane layouts
Decoder channels
Alarm panes
Single or group camera sequencing (excluding camera sequencing plans)

Procedure

Log in to the IVS client as the Admin user and click Live Feed

2. Double-click an online camera in the Cameras panel or drag the online camera to a video pane. You can view the live video

3. Choose Favorites > View Favorites.

4. Click imgDownload?uuid=04c181f897564031b5d9f15 , as shown in Figure 5-177. In the dialog box that is displayed, enter East Road in the View name text box.
The Tianmushan Road view favorites folder is created. Repeat the preceding steps to create another view favorites folder Xixi Road, and click OK.

5. Double-click Xixi Road to view live video from the cameras on the Xixi Road or Tianmushan Road to view live video from the cameras on the Tianmushan Road.

5.4.3.2 Camera Favorites

You can add frequently-used cameras to a camera favorites folder so that you can quickly locate these cameras whenever you want to use them.

Procedure

Log in to the IVS client as the Admin user and click Live Feed

2. Double-click an online camera in the Cameras panel or drag the online camera to a video pane

3. Choose Favorites > Add Camera.

4. Optional: Click imgDownload?uuid=5b38a5e0d33b46df8bd779d . In the dialog box that is displayed, enter a name in Name

5. Click OK.

6. Add cameras to a camera favorites folde

Camera

Select a folder in the Favorites area on the left.
Click .
In the dialog box that is displayed, select cameras to add to the folder.
Click Save.
Cameras are added to the favorites folder

NOTE:

To add a camera in the camera list to a favorites folder, you can also right-click the camera and choose Add to Favorites from the shortcut menu.
