Hello,

I have a S7703 with ES1D2X16SFC0 (16Port 10GBASE-X Interface Card) and I recently installed a transceiver SFP-1000BaseT to connect with another switch with 100 speed full duplex and negotiation disabled. when I installed the transceiver with one of the sixteen XGigabitEthernet I can see the this in the information of the interface

XGigabitEthernet1/0/15 current state : DOWN
Line protocol current state : DOWN
Description:
Switch Port, PVID :    1, TPID : 8100(Hex), The Maximum Frame Length is 9216
Internet protocol processing : disabled
IP Sending Frames' Format is PKTFMT_ETHNT_2, Hardware address is 7054-f5a2-1700
Last physical up time   : 2014-02-24 07:05
Last physical down time : 2014-02-24 07:05
Current system time: 2014-02-24 07:05
Port Mode: COMMON FIBER(Trans is online)
Speed : 10000,  Loopback: NONE
Duplex: FULL,  Negotiation: DISABLE

When I connected this interface with the other switch nothing changed. Line protocol is down , speed remain the same.

As long i checked the abilities of this interface I can not change speed duplex and negotiation.

PS. the transceiver is for Huawei switches as the seller saying.

Can you help!!

Please check the version of the switch, before ver V2R3, the 10GE port doesn't support SFP-1000BaseT transceiver.

If the version is lower than this, please update to the latest.
