Hi everyone, now I am using Mikrotik switch and I am going to change it for Huawei S6730. I want to set port isolation but I don`t know how. I want to specify which port can comunicate with other ports. Can I create port isolation group for every port? In attachment is screenshot from Mikrotik switch port isolation for imagination what I need to set up in Huawei.

Can anyone give me advice how to do that?

Thank you

Hi,
Port isolation can isolate interfaces in the same VLAN, and only interfaces need to be added to a port isolation group. To isolate broadcast packets in the same VLAN but allow users connecting to different interfaces to communicate at Layer 3, set the port isolation mode to Layer 2 isolation and Layer 3 interworking. To prevent interfaces in the same VLAN from communicating at both Layer 2 and Layer 3, set the port isolation mode to Layer 2 and Layer 3 isolation.
Please refer to the following example.

Hi, thank you for answer. I will set Isolation mode to ALL (L2+L3). Can you send me example of configuration based on screenshot from my Mikrotik switch? For example for port 15 and 4? Thank you.

Hi Heri11,
Port isolation can achieve isolation between ports in the same VLAN. The user only needs to add the port to the isolation group to isolate the Layer 2 data between the ports in the isolation group. If you want to communicate between two ports, you do not need to configure port isolation. In addition, a port isolation group can be configured on each port, but a maximum of 64 port isolation groups can be configured. Finally, your screenshots cannot see what configuration Mikrotik switch has done.

Thank you for answer. I see that screenshot is in "Auditing" so you can`t see configuration, I want to describe one port for example. Port 2 can communicate only with ports 4,6,10,12 without VLAN. Should I create port isolation group with all ports except 2,4,6,10,12? Another port 15 can communicate with ports 6,7,8,12,18,20,22 then should I create group with all ports except 15,6,7,8,12,18,20,22? Thank you

If you have not configured VLANs, are your switches all Layer 3 networks?
