Hi All,

The switch of S6730-H, the i-stack service port only support SFP28 in 25GB

My question 1 is:

if other switchport plug in standard 10G SFP (example from server), then on huawei is connecting SFP28, can this support?

My question 2 is: switchport is connecting standard 10G, then i-stack service port is connecting 25GB SFP28, can this support?

Thanks

YK

Hi Friend,

The answer to both questions is yes. The interfaces of the switches mentioned are auto sensing, that is, the speed will be negotiated automatically, depending on the type of optical module and cable used.

Note: it is necessary that both devices work at the same speed. For example, if one side supports 25GE and the other 10GE, for them to establish connection correctly it is recommended that the connection be made in 10GE.

Huawei has a tool that I particularly like a lot i_f28.gif , Stack & SVF Assistant. With this tool you can inform which switches will be used in the stack, optical module model, cable type, and equipment version. After informing, the tool informs you the recommendations, restrictions, and configurations so that this Stack can be done correctly.

If a 10GE optical module is connected to SFP28 port, the port can automatically adjust its rate to 10 Gbit/s. So you can use this port to connect server

I'm not sure about stacking, but it seems to be working

Why you want to use 25GB stacking ports as you have 4 * 40/100 ports ?
