Maybe I didn't describe myself clearly.
As you said, iSCSI use the ethernet to transmit the SCSI and data. It requires "specific NIC" to connect to the switch. The "specific NIC" should encapsulate the SCSI and data in the ethernet packets.
What I mean "don't support the iSCSI connections" is S switches cannot be used to as the "translator NIC". Theoretically, it doesn't care about what are encapsulated in the upper layer.
