S5720 temperature abnormal

Hi,

Our customer is using the S5720-28X-PWR-SI-AC model switch at one of his site. We noticed that the operating temperature goes beyond 50 from the day of using. The switch started using from yesterday. Is this normal?

They have other models S5700 series using in other sites. But the temperature is 30 on average. Please check this issue.

Hi,
Usually, the device temperature rises up due to the enviroment temperature or the fan module error.
1. Use command "display fan" to show the current switch fan, if it is in working order.
2. Check the server room enviroment temperature.
3. If all above are normal, please check the switch interface bandwidth utilization, and also confirm If all are normal, the switch might be normal, cause when switch in operation mode, the temperature hits around 50 to 60 can be consider normal due to switch processing data.
