the console port password through the BootROM menu.
However, for the old version, the method is
complex:
1. Create an empty configuration
file new.cfg on your computer.
2.Restart the device and press Ctrl+B to enter the BootROM menu. (The default
BootROM password is Admin@huawei.com.)
3.Select Enter ethernet submenu >
Modify ethernet interface boot parameter, there You can modify the FTP parameters.
4. Connect the network cable of
the PC to the management port of the switch and set the FTP parameters
according to step 3.
5.Return to the previous submenu. Select Download
file to Flash through ethernet interface. Set the name of the downloaded
file to new.cfg
6.Return to the BootROM main menu, select Enter startup submenu > Modify startup configuration, change
the value of new file of saved-configuration to new.cfg.
7.Return to the main menu, select
reboot
8.In this way, you can log in to
the device using an empty configuration. After logging in to the device, you
can download the original configuration to the computer, modify the login
parameters and upload the file again, then set the original configuration to
the next startup file, and restart the device.
