  HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)

Hi,

I'm searching for solution to set in/out bandwidth limits per interface by snmp on switch S1720-GWR-4P

Software      Version   : VRP (R) Software, Version 5.170 (V200R019C10SPC500)

patch: s1720-gw-v200r019sph016

Interface config example:

interface GigabitEthernet0/0/1
 qos lr outbound cir 208000 cbs 2400000
 qos lr inbound cir 208000 cbs 2400000

I found that i can set inbound cir value with this OID

like this .1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.32.4.1.1.26.1.4.5.1.1 i 208000

but i can't set outbound as described in MIB, it should be by changing indexes

probably like .1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.32.4.1.1.26.1.4.5.2.1 i 208000 but this doesn't work.

.1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.32.4.1.1.26.1.4.5.2.1 i 208000

Error in packet.
Reason: (genError) A general failure occured
Failed object: SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.2011.5.25.32.4.1.1.26.1.4.5.2.1

NamehwXQoSCarCirValue
OID.1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.32.4.1.1.26.1.4
MIBHUAWEI-XQoS-MIB
SyntaxINTEGER32 (0..100000000)
Accessread-create
Statuscurrent
DefVal
IndexeshwXQoSCarInterfaceIndex, hwXQoSCarDirection, hwXQoSCarVlanID
DescrThe value of this object identifies the CIR on an interface.

when it's set on interface i can see correct value in snmpget on OID  .1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.32.4.1.2.5.1.3.5.1

but i can't change there either:

.1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.32.4.1.2.5.1.3.5.1 i 208000

Error in packet.
Reason: (genError) A general failure occured
Failed object: SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.2011.5.25.32.4.1.2.5.1.3.5.1

Hi gedas965,
Currently, the maximum access permission of hwXQoSIfLrCfgInfoTable is read-only.

You can refer to:https://support.huawei.com/hedex/hdx.do?docid=EDOC1100126530&id=EN-US_CONCEPT_0177125612&lang=en

I hope it helps!

i can't implement huawei to existing management system without rate limiting on interface. So for now i have to stay with old sw brand...
is there any chance that feature setting "qos lr outbound cir" by snmp gets implemented in new firmware or patch versions?

After checking the latest version, I find that this function is not supported. You can directly contact the TAC to raise the requirement.

tried snmpv3 same error, so that's probably not implemented to be set by snmp
