Hello everyone, I would like to share some information I have collected about RTN boards.

SP3D

The SP3D is a 32xE1 75-ohm/120- ohm tributary board.
Functions
1- Receives and transmits E1 signals.
2- SP3D 75-ohm/120- ohm E1 port = 32.
3- Loopback Supports in loops and outlooks E1 tributary ports.
4- Supported  E1 retiming function.
5- Supported  Cold reset and warm reset & Supported PRBS tests at E1 ports  & Supported Queries of board manufacturing information & Queries of the board power consumption

SP3S

The SP3S is a 16xE1 75-ohm/120-ohm tributary board.
Functions
1- Receives and transmits E1 signals.
2- SP3S 75-ohm/120- ohm E1 port = 16 .
3- Loopback Supports in loops and outlooks E1 tributary ports.
4- Supported  E1 retiming function.
5- Supported  Cold reset and warm reset & Supported PRBS tests at E1 ports  & Supported Queries of board manufacturing information & Queries of the board power consumption.

ML1/MD1

The ML1 is a 16xSmart E1 service processing board. The MD1 is a 32xSmart E1 service processing board.
Functions
1- Receives and transmits E1 signals, and supports various types of E1 service types.
2- E1 service types Supports the following E1 service types:  CES E1 & ATM/IMA E1 & ML-PPP E1
3- ML1 75-ohm/120- ohm E1 port = 16 & MD175-ohm/120- ohm E1 port = 32.
4- Supports transparent service transmission at the 64 kbit/s levels.
5- Maximum number of ATM services =64 &  A maximum number of ATM connections =256.
6- Supports in loops and outlooks E1 tributary ports.
7- Supports the following encapsulation modes: CESoPSN& SAToP.

EFP8

The EFP8 is an 8-port FE EoPDH processing board. The EFP board is connected to the packet plane through its bridging GE port.
Functions
1- Receives/Transmits 8xFE signals and 1xGE packet plane signals and performs EoPDHprocessing.
2- FE electricalport: 10/100BASET(X) = 8.
3- Supported Intra-board LAG & Spanning tree protocol  & IGMP snooping function & RMON
 & Port mirroring .
4- Supports the following loopback types: l Inloopsat the PHY layer of Ethernet ports excluding ports 9 and 10 (bridging ports) l Inloopsat the MAC layer of Ethernet ports excluding port 10 (bridging port) l Inloopson VC-12 paths.

EM6D

EM6Dis a 6-port Ethernet processing board that supports the Super Dual Band feature. It provides two 10GE ports, two 2.5GE ports, and two GE ports.
Functions
1- Receives/Transmits GE service signals, and processes these signals by working with the packet switching unit.
2- GE port Two ports with any of the following SFP+/SFP module types: l Dual-fiber bidirectional GE optical module l Single-fiber bidirectional GE optical module l Dual-fiber bidirectional 2.5GE optical module.
3- Two ports with any of the following SFP+/SFP module types: l Dual-fiber bidirectional 10GE optical module l Dual-fiber bidirectional 2.5GE optical module l Dual-fiber bidirectional GE optical module l Single-fiber bidirectional GE optical module.
4- Backplane bus bandwidth 2.5 Gbit/s.
5- Supported  Intra-board LAG & LLDP Supported Super EPLA & ERPS & MSTP.
6- Loopback l Supports in loops at the PHY layer of Ethernet ports. l Supports in loops at the MAC layer of Ethernet ports.

EG4

EG4boards are 4xGE interface boards, which provide flexible combinations of port types to meet a wide variety of service requirements. One EG4/EG4P board provides a maximum of four ports, two always being RJ45 electrical ports and the other two being small form-factor pluggable (SFP) ports or RJ45 electrical ports. On an EG4P board, the two fixed RJ45 electrical ports provide the RTN 300 full-outdoor radio equipment series with power and service signals simultaneously.
Functions
1- Receives/Transmits GE service signals, and processes these signals by working with the packet switching unit.
2- Provides four GE ports. l Provides two unpluggableGE electrical ports (through which EG4P boards support power over ethernet). l Provides two unpluggable GE electrical ports or two SFP optical ports. Supports the following types of SFP modules: – Dual-fiber bidirectional FE/GE optical module – Single-fiber bidirectional FE/GE module
3- Backplane bus bandwidth l 1 Gbit/s when an EG4/EG4P board works with an SL91CSH board l 2.5 Gbit/s when an EG4/EG4P board works with an SL92CSH/ CSHU/CSHUA board .
4- Supported LAG & Spanning Tree Protocol (STP)  & IGMP snooping & Link-state pass through (LPT) & Port mirroring & LLDP & Anti-Theft function

EG4

CQ1

CQ1boards are 4-port channelized STM-1 processing boards.
Functions
1- Receives and transmits four channels of channelized STM-1 optical/ electrical signals.
2- Supportespacketservice types and Circuit emulation service (CES) E1 l ML-PPP E1.
3- Supporters  Optical ports l Uses small form-factor pluggable (SFP) optical modules to provide optical ports of the Ie-1, S-1.1, L-1.1, and L-1.2 types. And Complies with ITU-T G.957.
4- Electrical ports l Uses SFP electrical modules. And Complies with ITU-T G.703.
5- OutbandDCN Each SDH line port can provide one data communications channel (DCC) that is composed of three DCC bytes, nine DCC bytes, or 12 DCC bytes.
6- InbandDCN Transmits DCN information over ML-PPP links.
7- Loopback Supports inloops at STM-1 ports. l Supports outloopsat STM-1 ports. l Supports inloopsover E1 channels. l Supports outloopsover E1 channels.

SL1D/SL1DA

The SL1D/SL1DA is a 2xSTM-1 optical interface board. The SL1D/SL1DA can also provide STM-1 electrical ports by using SFP electrical modules. Besides all the functions provided by the SL1D, the SL1DA supports the K byte pass-through function.
Functions
1- Receives and transmits 2xSTM-1 optical/electrical signals.
2- Optical ports  Uses SFP optical modules to provide optical ports of Ie-1, S-1.1, L-1.1, and L-1.2 types. And  Provides ITU-T G.957-compliant optical port specifications.
3- Electrical ports l Adopts SFP electrical modules. And The performance of the electrical ports comply with ITU-T G.703.
4- Supports the following loopback types: Outloopsat optical/electrical ports and  Inloopsat optical/electrical ports and  Outloopson VC-4 paths l Inloops on VC-4 paths.
5- OutbandDCN Provides a 3-, 9-, or 12-byte DCC channel over each SDH line port.
6- Protection Supported  LMSP  and Supported SNCP.

ISM6

ISM6boards are new-generation dual-channel IF boards. Each provides two ports.
Functions
1- l Receives and transmits 2xIF signals.
2- Provides management channels to ODUs.
3- Supplies -48 V power to ODUs.
4- Radio types l Integrated IP microwave & SDH radio.
5- Service types in Integrated IP microwave mode & Native E1 + Ethernet l Native STM-1 + Ethernet.
6- Service types in SDH radio mode & STM-1 l 2xSTM-1 .
7- Link protection 1+1 HSB/FD/SD protection (HSB stands for hot standby, FD stands for frequency diversity, and SD stands for space diversity.) & Supported 1+1 HSB/FD/SD protection is supported between intraboardports. & Supported 1+1 HSB/FD/SD protection is supported between interboardports. N+1 protection Supported Link aggregation groups (LAGs) at air interfaces.
8- Supports inband DCN. DCN bandwidth is configurable. & Outbound DCN  Supports one data communications channel (DCC) that is composed of three DCC bytes for each channel in Integrated IP microwave mode. l Supports one DCC that is composed of D1-D3 bytes, D4-D12 bytes, or D1-D12 bytes for each channel in SDH radio mode.

IFX2

The IFX2 is a universal IF board that supports the XPIC function in the Integrated IP microwave mode. The IFX2 uses the DC-I power distribution mode.
Functions
1- Receives and transmits one channel of IF signal.
2-  Provides a management channel to the ODU.
3- Supplies the required -48 V power to the ODU.
4- Microwave type Integrated IP microwave.
5- Service type Native E1 + Ethernet.
6- Supported  XPIC & AM & EPLA Supported when working with CSHU/CSHUA.
7- Supported Protection 1+1 HSB/FD/SD protection & N+1 protection & SNCP for TDM services Supported.
8- Supported  Inbanddata communication network (DCN) Supported. The DCN bandwidth is configurable & Supported  OutbandDCN Supports one DCC that is composed of three DCC bytes.
9- Supports the following loopback types: l Inloopsand outloopsat IF ports l Inloops and outloopsat multiplexing ports l Inloops at the MAC layer of IF_ETH ports.
10- Supported  LAG & RMON & IGMP snooping & Spanning tree protocol & ERPS

IFU2

The IFU2 is a universal IF board that supports the Integrated IP microwave mode. The IFU2 uses the DC-I power distribution mode
Functions
1- Receives and transmits one channel of IF signal.
2- Provides a management channel to the ODU.
3-Supplies the required -48 V power to the ODU.
4- Microwave type TU/STM-1-based microwave.
5- Supported 1+1 HSB/FD/SD protection & N+1 protection & SNCP for TDM services
6- Supports the following loopback types: l Inloopsand outloopsat IF ports l Inloops and outloopsat MUX ports l Inloops at the MAC layer of IF_ETH ports
7- Data communication network (DCN) InbandDCN Supported. The DCN bandwidth is configurable. OutbandDCN Supports one DCC that is composed of three DCC bytes.
8- Supported LAG & IGMP snooping & RMON & ERPS function that complies with ITUT G.8032 v1/v2 & EPLA Supported when working with CSHU/CSHUA.

IF1

The IF1 is an SDH IF board. The IF1 uses the DC-I power distribution mode.
Functions
1- Receives and transmits one channel of IF signal.
2- Provides a management channel to the ODU.
3-Supplies the required -48 V power to the ODU.
4- Microwave type TU/STM-1-based microwave.
5- Supported 1+1 HSB/FD/SD protection & N+1 protection & SNCP
6- Supports the following loopback types: l Inloopsat IF ports l Outloops at IF ports l Inloopsat MUX ports l Outloops at MUX ports.
7- Supported  OutbandDCN l When working in PDH microwave mode with a capacity lower than 16xE1, uses a 1-byte DCC channel. l When working in PDH microwave mode with a capacity equal to or higher than 16xE1 uses a 3- byte DCC channel. l When working in SDH microwave mode, uses a 3-byte, 9-byte, or 12-byte DCC channel.

ISX2

The ISX2 is a universal XPIC IF board and provides the XPIC function for signals transmitted/received in Integrated IP microwave mode and SDH radio mode. The ISX2 uses the DC-I power distribution mode.
Functions
1- Receives and transmits one channel of IF signal.
2- Provides a management channel to the ODU.
3- Supplies the required -48 V power to the ODU.
4- Microwave type l Integrated IP microwave & SDH microwave.
5- Service categories in Integrated IP microwave mode l Native E1 + Ethernet &  Native STM-1 + Ethernet.
6- Service categories in SDH microwave mode STM-1  & 2xSTM-1.
7- Supported only in Integrated IP microwave mode with native TDM services being E1 services.

The ISU2 is a universal IF board that supports the Integrated IP microwave mode and SDH radio mode at the same time. The ISU2 uses the DC-I power distribution mode.

3- Supplies the required -48 V power to the ODU.
4- l Integrated IP microwave & SDH microwave.
5- Service categories in Integrated IP microwave mode l Native E1 + Ethernet l Native STM-1 + Ethernet
6- Service categories in SDH microwave model STM-1 l 2xSTM-1.
7- Supported only in Integrated IP microwave mode with native TDM services being E1 services.
8- Link-level protection 1+1 HSB/FD/SD protection Supported N+1 protection Supported LAG protection at air interfaces Supported PLA/EPLA Supported NOTE EPLA is available only when the ISU2 works with the CSHU/CSHUA boards.

CSHUA

The CSHUA is the integrated Hybrid/Packet/Routing system control, switching, and timing board. This board supports L3VPN functionality
Functions
1- Switching capability Provides a 10 Gbit/s packet switching capacity.
2- Cross-connect capacity Supports VC-12/VC-3/VC-4 full time-division cross-connections (equivalent to 32x32 VC-4s).
3- System control and communication Manages, monitors, and controls the running status of the IDU, and works as a communication service unit between the NMS and boards, thereby allowing the NMS to control and manage the NE.
4- Provides the system clock and frame headers of service signals and overhead signals for the other boards by tracing any of the following clock sources: l External clock l SDH line clock l PDH tributary clock l Microwave link clock l Synchronous Ethernet clock.
5- Supports the following clock protection schemes: l Protection based on clock source priorities l Protection by running the SSM protocol l Protection by running the extended SSM protocol.
6- Supports IEEE 1588v2 time synchronization. Supports ITU-T G.8275.1 time synchronization.
7- Data the communication network (DCN) Out-band DCN Supports a maximum of 13 data communication channels (DCCs). In-band DCN The DCN bandwidth is configurable.
8- Provides the SNMP Get and Set functions for managing devices, excluding configuring L3VPN services.

CSHU
