The RSE6500 live TV recording license and resource calculation methods are as follows:
The RSE6500 license contains the following resources: Live TV resources, recording resources, and VOD resources. The live TV resource indicates the capability of enabling the live TV service, the recording resource indicates the capability of recording videos, and the VOD resource indicates the capability of watching videos on the Web.
The RSE6500-L is used as an example. When the license is full, there are 20 live TV resources, 30 recording resources, and 2000 VOD resources. A maximum of 2000 users can log in to the RSE6500 to play video on demand and live broadcast. 30 recording resources indicate that a maximum of 30 conference recording tasks can be started on the RSE, regardless of the conference format and single-stream or dual-stream mode. The calculation of live TV resources is complex and requires special attention. For the RSE6500, the live broadcast of a conference also means that the conference is being recorded. Therefore, one recording resource is required for the live conference. (Note: One recording resource is a fixed value, which is irrelevant to the live TV format and single stream .). The number of live broadcast resources occupied by a live conference is related to the format of a conference. The following table lists the mapping between the number of live broadcast resources and the conference format.
1. If the conference is a dual-stream conference, the live broadcast resources occupied by the main stream and the auxiliary stream need to be added. However, the number of recording resources required by the conference is always one.
2. Offline transcoding also requires live TV resources. The calculation method is the same as that for live TV calculation. Note that the video format is calculated based on the source format.
