Hello, dear.
Today, I went to a PV plant for a routine inspection. Under the leadership of the PV plant O&M personnel, I went to the PV area to check the inverter running status and found the following problems:
Problem
Some inverter DC terminals on-site do not use the original MC4 connectors.
![]()
Danger
The terminals may be burnt due to a mismatch between the upper and lower terminals. In this case, the SUN2000 is not covered by the warranty.
Problem
AC cable outlets in some inverter maintenance compartments are not blocked by firestop putty.
![]()
Danger
This problem may degrade the IP65 protection level of the inverter.
Problem
Some inverter DC cable labels are rough.
![]()
Difficulty point
After long-term wind and rain, the label no longer exists. If the DC side is faulty, where can I find the faulty PV string?
Problem point
The DC wiring posts of the inverter are not used. Some inverters are not covered with protective caps when the wiring posts are not used.
![]()
Danger
This problem may degrade the IP65 protection level of the inverter. Can't keep the grass in spring, can't hold back the small insects in summer, can't withstand the fall voles, can't isolate the winter fog.
Some obvious problems are found during the inspection. Proper rectification suggestions are provided to the customer. Inspect the inverters at the entire site.
