Router hijacked / hacked!

I have been noticing the issue for about 2 months now that some one keep hijacking my router. I have tried to strengthen passwords and even using whitelist to filter unwanted intrusion but all fails. I notice that some one has created fake SSID and has attached it some how to the router. You would have a question that how can I be so sure about it? Well, when ever I have CHANNEL of the SSID that fake SSID moves along. If I switch off the router that fake SSID vanishes as well. 


I need your assistance as it's irritating and must be killing my bandwidth as well. I am not a hacker so that's why I can't fight these people. Please help! It's really frustrating and annoying for me.

It depends on the protection that you choose.

Examples:
a) hidden ESSID: trivial to hack
b) MAC filtering protection: quite easy to hack
c) WEP protection: requires a bit of WiFi know-how but it is feasible
d) WPA protection: very difficult to hack if password is strong, requires powerful hardware and a lot of time
e) WPA2 protection: not possible to hack with current technology if the password is strong enough

hi @mhasn

I think problem is that you've bound 2 different vap profile with ap-id or ap-group
And these 2 vap profiles includes the different ssid profiles,

Could you please share with me the wlan vap-ssid-ap config ?
