Ring fiber communication troubleshooting (IP issues)

I. Project Background

There is 612 inverter in this site, a totally 25 blocks with 25 STS, 25 SACU 2000D. Use third-party scada. our SACU will connect with the control room by the third-party switch which is configured by scada vendor.


II. Problem description

After connect all SACU to the control room and show up all information in scada interface, most of signal is ok. But when we on-grid and send the command to SACU, the connection become fail, after restart it will be connected and disconect after few minutes. The communication is not stable.


III. Fault locating and analysis:

  1. Check whether of connection fiber cable.

    Check whether configure of switch is used.

    Check IP address is set in smartlogger, the IP map as below:

    And found IP of smartlogger same layout with Lan port in smartlogger (default 192.168.8.10). So it will cause the connection will be lose with Lan and Wan port.

    Solution: 

Upgrade firmware of smartlogger to V300RC001SPC040 and then change IP of LAN port. (just version later than SPC040 can change mode or IP of LAN port).

  1. upgrade software SPC040

  2. change IP address of LAN port
