【Problem description】


The recheck of DIMMs and CPUs is recorded in the SEL, but the system has not been restarted for more than 200 days.


【Problem analysis】


1. The run time of the iBMC is about 1 day plus 13 hours, but the server has been running for more than 200 days and is not restarted. This shows that the iBMC has restarted automatically.

2. No restart command is recorded in operation log.

3. There are hardware recheck records on September 12th on SEL and the records indicate that the recheck is initiated by the restart of the iBMC.

4. Kernel panics are recorded in \dump_info\RTOSDump\driver_info\kbox_info, which indicates that the iBMC reset is caused by a memory leak.

5. The iBMC version is 1.91.

6. Multiple memory CE alarms are recorded in the FDM log.

  • The iBMC restart is caused by a memory leak. This problem has been resolved on iBMC 2.32.


  • Multiple CE alarms are generated for DIMM010, which is replaced as advised.

The iBMC restart is caused by memory leak. This problem has been resolved in iBMC 2.32.


Upgrade the iBMC to the latest version.
