Configuring Reverse Telnet Login

The reverse Telnet function enables dumb terminals that are directly connected to a router using asynchronous serial cables to log in to a remote server.

Pre-configuration Tasks

Before logging in to a device through reverse Telnet, complete the following tasks:

  • Starting a remote device

  • Using a TTY user interface: ensuring that a dumb terminal is directly connected to the 8AS card of the router with an asynchronous cable and the physical status and protocol status of the connected asynchronous interface are Up

  • Ensuring that there are reachable routes between the router and the remote server

interface async = wrong parameter found

there are some commands:
system-view
user-interface console 0
redirect

What are next steps?

The command "connect" requires "host". What right parameter?
On a cisco router I type "telnet IP of the router (to that I connected ob vty) + port= 2001"
