I forgot the BootROM login password of my AR550, how can I restore the default one?

<Huawei> system-view
[Huawei] diagnose
[Huawei-diagnose] restore boot-password
Info: Restore boot password success!
[Huawei-diagnose] return
<Huawei> reboot

The issue is about AR550 & the solution you present is about AR600 witch is not the same.

Please find below the solution for your issue
BootROM menu login

The device is delivered with basic configurations so that it can start and work properly when no configuration file exists or the configuration file is lost or damaged.

Procedure

  1. Choose System Management > Upgrade and Maintenance > Restore Factory Settings, as shown in Figure 17-5.

  2. Click Restore Factory Settings.
