Hi all!

we need to reset the BIOS password for one of our servers.

The default password does not work.

I have tried to reset it by removing the BIOS battery, but this does not help.

Even google has failed me, as I cannot find the solution to this from there.

So what is the correct procedure to reset the BIOS password?

(I do have acces to iBMC, if that helps.)

Hello!

This operation applies to the BIOS password (Huawei12#$ by default) of the V3 server. If the password is higher than iBMC 1.60, the HPM package can be used to restore the BIOS password.

The operation command is as follows:

ipmcset -t maintenance -d upgradebios -v /tmp/biosimage.hpm

Hello, removing the BIOS battery. Wait for more than 10 minutes and reinstall the battery.
