Reset mac-address flapping record

Hello all,

As follows, why MAC address flapping records cannot be cleared after the reset mac-address flapping record command is executed? Thanks.

Hello,

There are two tables for MAC address flapping, the active table and the aged table.

When MAC address flapping occurs on the device and the aging time does not expire, MAC address flapping entry is recorded in the active table. The reset mac-address flapping record command can only clear the current MAC address flapping entry that is no longer active, that is, it cannot clear the MAC flapping entry in the active table.

After a period of time, when the MAC flapping entry exceeds the aging time, the entry is recorded in the aged table, and the entry record in the active table is cleared. At this time, you can use the reset mac-address flapping record to clear the entries in the aged table.
