Hi all!

My house is currently subscribing to a TM Unifi line using EchoLife HG8240H.

Currently, the Echolife HG8240H is connected as below:

Port 1: Connected to Asus Lyra Router - Working fine

Port 2: Empty

Port 3: Empty

Port 4: Empty

Tel1: Connected to provided landline

Tel2: Empty

My question: How can I enable Port 2, or Port 3, or Port 4 to directly connect from Echolife HG8240H to PC for higher and stable internet speed?

For the record, I have connected a Lan cable from PC to Port 2, 3, and 4 but there's no internet.

I have already login to Echolife HG8240H but was unable to find any settings to enable Port 2, 3, or 4.

Thanks for your help.

Hello NightGaia!

The router model you provided is a bridged device.

You can only access the following interface, so LAN2 and LAN3 ports cannot be configured.

1

If you want to activate LAN2, LAN3 and LAN4 interfaces, please check the settings of your ONT on the OLT side.

The following four commands are usually used:

ont port native-vlan 0 30 eth 1 vlan xxxx priority 0
ont port native-vlan 0 30 eth 2 vlan xxxx priority 0
ont port native-vlan 0 30 eth 3 vlan xxxx priority 0
ont port native-vlan 0 30 eth 4 vlan xxxx priority 0

Hope I can help you, thank you!

Aww.. sad to hear that, then what are the ports 2, 3 and 4 used for if they cannot be configured?

Can achieve your purpose, but this is a bridge-type ONT, so it can only be configured on the OLT (local access network center node equipment) side, if this is the equipment provided by the operator, you need to contact the operator for You bind the VLAN to the other three ports.

Thanks for the input Liqiang, will contact the operator to do so, no wonder I was unable to find the option to configure it on my end.

Hello Wissal,

This is the IP config which I used for logging into the ONT.

IP Config

However, I am unable to use https, so I used http instead.

https

Inside the ONT configuration, there is no LAN port work mode like you mentioned...

LAN

There's nothing for me to configure as well for WAN, all the options are blanked out and unselectable (refer to both images below).

WAN1

WAN2

I previously saw a post stating that other Ports (eg: Port 2) can be configured to connect directly to the PC but I was unable to access the details.

Link unavailable

Therefore I came here to ask for assistance on it.

Any help is very much appreciated!

Thanks!
