Log in to the CLI on the secondary end of the remote replication relationship, run the show remote_replication general command, and view the information about the remote replication. Two remote replication pairs that have the same pair ID are located.

Possible Causes

If the secondary storage system is overloaded or encounters disk faults, or disks on the primary end are removed or faulty, creating remote replication on the primary end will fail. If you create remote replication again, two remote replication pairs with the same ID will be found on the secondary end.

Procedure

1. Check whether the remote replication pairs with the same ID are invalid.

  • If yes, delete the invalid remote replication pairs and create new remote replication.

  • If no, go to 2.

2. Recover all links of the storage system after they are disconnected, check whether there are logs recording the recovery.

  • If yes, execute 1 two minutes later.

  • If no, keep the fault environment intact and contact Huawei technical support.
