Hi.

When I was installing the OptiX OSN 6800, I found that there was a shortage of boards. I found a TN52ND2 board in the warehouse. So I have a question. Can TN52ND2 substitute for TN12ND2?

Thank you!

Hello, friend!

The TN12ND2/TN52ND2 can be created as ND2 on the NMS. The former can substitute for the latter, without any software upgrade. After the substitution, the TN11ND2 board functions as the TN11ND2 board.

When both the transmit and receive boards use FEC encoding, they can be replaced. When both the transmit and receive boards use AFEC encoding, they cannot be replaced.

The TN52ND2 board can substitute for the TN11ND2 board only when the following optical module is used: 800 ps/nm-C band-tunable wavelength-(D) RZ-PIN.

Thanks!
