Replacing a defective inverter on FusionSolar

This section describes how to replace a defective inverter on FusionSolar. This function is only available for the String Inverter (SUN2000) and Smart Energy Center (SUN2000L) affiliated to the Huawei data collectors.


1. Replace the SUN2000L residential inverter.


1.1. Check the SUN2000L connection to the server for the new inverter.

 

If you don’t set the domain name and the port on the commissioning process then follow the next steps to configure them:

 

a) on the home page choose Communication configuration à Set the management system connection parameters à in Domain name set: intl.fusionsolar.huawei.com;


b) ensure that the port is 16101 and that encrypted transmission is enabled;


c) after you set the domain name and the port select Connect;


d) check the connection with the server before starting to replace the inverter.

1.2.  Replace the old inverter with the new one on FusionSolar.

 

On the system homepage choose Device Management.

In the device list, select the inverter to be replaced and click Equipment Substitution.

Input the SN number of the target equipment and click Search. Target the version number, SN number, device version number and the type will be displayed in the current interface automatically.


a) Click Substitute and the Substitute confirmation box is displayed.


b) Click OK to confirm that the string details of the current device have been synchronized to the target equipment.


c) Click OK and the prompt dialog box is displayed.


d) Click OK. Substitute device succeeded.

2. Replacing the SUN2000 commercial inverter


After you perform the physical replacement in the field, connect on Smartlogger1000&2000, delete the old inverter and add the new inverter. Then check the communication and status. Ask the service team at eu_inverter_support@huawei.com for instructions.


On the system homepage choose Device Management à Equipment Substitution.
