Today, I’d like to share a case.
Problem description：
The remote ping test fails in all the ONTs model HG8245/247, in some ONTs the menu of remote ping does not appear
U2000 version: V100R006C02CP3203
ONT version: V1R6C00SPC100
OLT version: V800R011C00SPC101 and V800R008C01SPC312
Over U2000 in the Main Topology, selecting the NE (OLT) to be operated right-click, and then select a ONT by frame slot and port, right-click in the ONT and the option is remote ping
The remote ping test has to be donet with the user VLAN.
Remote ping test from one ONT HG8245 using the user VLAN 400
We log into the ONT by telnet, we perform ping test to www.google.com with successful result.
We realize that for ONTs in OLTs with version V800R008C01SPC312 the function remote ping does not exist.
The remote ping over U2000 for ONT in OLTs with version V800R011C00SPC101 fails
Handling process：
We check the process on system monitor and the process of U200, the process Access Device Line Test was not enabled
Root cause：
Access Device Line Test was not enabled
Solusion：
enable the Access Device Line test process, right click and run.
After this operation we test again the remote ping test with successful results
