Hello, friend! To log in to the device using SSH, you need to configure SSH access on the WebUI of the device. The detailed operations are as follows: Log in to the device using the device administrator account. Log in to the WebUI of the device, In the navigation tree on the left, choose Security > Device Access Control. In the pane on the right, configure the rule of ONT access control. Complete network security planning before enabling remote access control to ensure that ONTs are logged in to in secure network conditions. After the ONT login operations are complete, disable remote access control in a timely manner. If you do not complete network security planning or do not disable remote access control in a timely manner, the network may become faulty or be attacked, and Huawei will not be responsible for any related subsequences.
In the navigation tree on the left, choose Security > WAN Access Control Configuration. In the pane on the right, click New. In the dialog box that is displayed, set the parameters of the WAN access control.
Note that the HG8245U is a carrier-series device and may have an ISP-customized version because we are not authorized to know the ISP-customized information. To obtain the administrator account and password of the HG8245U, contact the device provider or ISP. Thanks! |

Tks for quick reply. Yes..... i have administrator account and did as mentioned above. To be more clear : my question is how to make an ssh RSA key pair in mikrotik and upload the public key to ONT so that an ssh script can be made and mikrotik can remotely ONT?

Hi, my friend! I am sorry! We only know how to configure Huawei ONTs. We are not familiar with how to configure mikrotik because it is a third-party device. You may need to consult the after-sales engineers of mikrotik.
