Hi, user_3433189!
Welcome to our community!
The two parameters do not conflict. The number of participants refers to the number of participants in a conference. 400 participants indicate that a single voice conference can be accessed by 400 participants at the same time.
The number of audio mixing parties refers to the number of participants involved in audio mixing. The MRP selects the participants with the highest volume for audio mixing. The participants in the conference can hear the participants. The participants who are not involved in audio mixing cannot hear the participants. This is to ensure the conference effect. If 400 people are speaking at the same time and are mixed, it is very noisy and you cannot hear the voice clearly.
The upper limit is 16-party audio mixing. By default, the MRP selects three-party audio mixing. A parameter can be set to a maximum of 16-party audio mixing.
The 16-party conference does not mean that only 16 participants can speak at a conference. Instead, only the 16 participants with the highest voice are involved in audio mixing at a certain time. This is a dynamic effect. 400 people can speak, louder people are involved in the mix.
