This post relates to the real-time throughput monitoring of S1. Please see more details below.
Problem description:
The customer wants to monitor the eNodeB S1 throughput in realtime to see if the S1 bandwidth needs to be expanded or not.
Problem analysis:
We need to monitor the eNodeB-level throughput in real time, but on the Monitor page, we can only monitor the Cell-level throughput, so we use the MML command DSP ETHPORT to view the RX Traffic(byte/s) and the TX Traffic(byte/s), this way we can monitor the eNodeB throughput in real time.
Root cause:
On theMonitor page, we cannot monitor the eNodeB-level throughput in real time.
Solution description:
1. On the WebLMT, click MML. The MML page will be displayed. After inputting the MML command DSP ETHPORT, other parameters stay as default.
![]()
2. After clicking the Exec key, you can view the RX Traffic(byte/s) and TX Traffic(byte/s). These values are equivalent to the eNB S1 throughput monitored in real time.
