Hey there,

How do I configure the switch to meet the following requirements?

Set the rate limit of department 1 (VLAN 100) to 60 Mbit/s and the rate limit of department 2 (VLAN 200) to 80 Mbit/s.  And the total bandwidth of the two departments cannot exceed 160 Mbit/s.

Thanks.

Hi,

What you said is the  level-2 aggregated CAR, kindly refer to the following commands.

#

qos car car1 cir 160000

#

traffic classifier 1

if-match vlan-id 100

traffic classifier 2

if-match vlan-id 1200

#

traffic behavior 1

car cir 60000 pir 80000

car car1 share

#

traffic behavior 2

car cir 80000 pir 100000

car car1 share

#

traffic policy 1

classifier 1 behavior 1

classifier 2 behavior 2

#

After applying traffic policy 1 to the corresponding interface, the two vlan will share the CAR.

Note that the level-2 aggregated CAR does not limit flows whose level-1 aggregated CAR value is smaller than the CIR value. Level-2 aggregated CAR limits only the flows whose rate is larger than the CIR value but smaller than the PIR value. When you configure level-2 aggregated CAR, the CAR value must be in the range of the CIR value to the PIR value. Otherwise, level-2 aggregated CAR does not take effect.
