<AC> display radio ap-id 1

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AP ID Name            RfID  Band  Type    Status  CH/BW    CE/ME   STA       CU

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1     aaaa-aaaa-aaaa         0    2.4G  bgn        on    6/20M    11/32   0       39%

1     bbbb-bbbb-bbbb         1    5G  an11ac       on   161/20M     31/31    0       21%

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

we can see that the transmit power is small for 2.4 band, only 11/32 so we have to increase this power.

how can i do that.

can anyone show me some reference commands.

Hi, friend!
The RF power is calculated based on the typical gain of the antenna.
An AP's transmit power determines its radio coverage area. APs with higher power have larger coverage areas. A traditional method to control the radio power is to set the transmit power to the maximum value to maximize the radio coverage area. However, a high transmit power may cause interference with other wireless devices. Therefore, an optimal power is required to balance the coverage area and signal quality. You can configure radio calibration https://support.huawei.com/hedex/hdx.do?docid=EDOC1100154875&id=EN-US_TASK_0176918143&lang=en
Hope o help you!

If you auto calibrate you can set thresholds where the power cailbration needs to calibrat with.

like :

rrm-profile name default
 calibrate min-tx-power 14

You can allso overrule on the specific radio like :

ap-id 1
radio 0
calibrate auto-txpower-select disable
eirp 14

Do note that you will have to stay operating within lagal power limits in all circumstances and Huawei reported transpit power is not radio power but transmitted power, so EIRP.
So you need to be aware of this epecialy when using external antenna's.

Allso note that power on 2,4Ghz band is very tricky, even moreso than on  5Ghz as co channel interferance is a real capacity risk as there are just enough channels to create a roming mask. Too mutch power can mess this up pretty bad !
