I have a server with Intel x710 quad-port 10g sfp+ nic which needs to connect to Huawei quidway LS-S5328C-EI-24S. Requirement is Intel x710 10g port should auto negotiate to 1G with LS-S5328C. Intel x710 is having E10GSFPLR SFP which supports 1G autonegotiation. Need to know if we use E10GSFPLR SFP with Intel x710 card to connect to Huawei S5328C 1G port, will it work..
I have opened a thread with Intel on the above and Intel insists to check with Huawei.
Hi, I think so. The connection could be normal if the optical module are standard encapsulation. BTW, it's recommended to use the Huawei certificated transceiver on the S5328 switch.
