  Rewarded HiCoins: 5 (problem resolved)

1. When raid5 reads data in normal state, do I still need to read the verification information?
2. How many disks are required for RAID 5 to achieve concurrency, and why?

Thank you

Hello,

1- When RAID5 reads data in the normal state, there is no need to read the verification information, and the verification information will be read only if one block is faulty.

2- As for the concurrency mentioned by the host, this needs to be described in detail by the host. Generally speaking, RAID5 has at least 3 disks, and 9 disks are generally recommended for RAID5.

Thanks

1. No. Data on disks have verification code, so you know about data validity without reading additional information
2. Any quantity of RAID5 disks (>=3) give possibility to read more than 1 disk simultaneously
