QoS Tool MCA Module attached problem in GSM-R network

This post is about the QoS test tool MCA module attached problem to the GSM-R network. Please see more details below.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

There are two modules in the QoS tool. One is the MA and the other is the MCA module. MS functions are tested by MA module  and Cab radio functions are tested by MCA module.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

All VGCS and VBS calls, as well as the MtoM calls can be initiated by the MS and MA module, which can be attached to the GSM-R system. Also, all related tests can be done by the MA module. However, the MCA module cannot attach to the GSM-R network.

SOLUTION

This problem is solved by changing the below parameter value from yes to no:

SET OTHSOFTPARA:TER2INDICATOR=NO;
