QoS : Principle of operation

Hello,

Today I would like to share with you the principle of QoS operation.

QoS is a management concept that allows you to:

Add a differentiation of services by

- Activity (Streaming Stream, VoIP Stream, Internet Stream, Signaling Stream ...).
- Application (Youtube, Facebook, peerto peer ...).
- Customer profile (VIP, Services, Consumer ...).

Optimize the use of network resources to provide the best Voice, Video and Data performance by using the techniques of Tagging, Policing, Shaping ...

The QoS settings:

Latency: the packet routing time between source and destination.
gigue (Jitter): the variation of latency over time.
Loss (Loss): The percentage of packets not routed to the destination relative to the total sent.
