Qlogic 2692 I/O switch slow when single controller reboot

[Symptom]

Redhat 7.5 host, kernel version 3.10.0-862.el7.x86_64, HBA card Qlogic 2692, server RH2285 V3, Driver 8.08.00.08.07.5-k9, FW 8.08.03,

test single controller fault, after single controller is removed, I/O switchover is slow and lasts for 1-2 minutes.

[Cause Description]

HBA card driver problem

[Fault Locating]

1.       The preceding conditions are met. HBA card Qlogic 2692, Driver 8.08.00.08.07.5-k9, FW 8.08.03.

2.       UltraPath logs show that the delay for the driver to return errors is very large, which is hundreds of seconds.

[ERROR][LPM][LPM_CmdParseErrorStatusToActive][957]Cmd 28212416 op:0x2a find error consult by code{0x4.0xff.0x0.0x0.0x0} act {13.1.0.0.0}, delay{158042} disk {5} DevLunId{175} path {37}.

3.       A similar exception is printed on the HBA card.

[Solution]

Downgrade the driver version to 8.08.00.07.

[Check After Restoration]

After the downgrade, the link switchover is normal.
