Cross-VLAN forwarding refers to that when receiving the join packet from the subscriber and checking the validity of the subscriber, the system does not perform the match between the network-side VLAN of the subscriber and the VLAN of the demanded program.
For example, if the VLAN of program 224.1.1.1 is 100, the service port VLAN of the subscriber is 200, and the cross-VLAN forwarding of the program is enabled, then, the subscriber can go online successfully as long
as the subscriber passes other authentication. If the cross-VLAN forwarding of the program is disabled, the subscriber can go online only when the network-side VLAN is consistent with the program VLAN. In the preceding case, only the subscriber of service port VLAN 100 can go online.
