Q&A: CloudEngine - IGMP General Query Interval

Latest reply: Sep 8, 2018 07:08:14 386 1 0 0

Hello everyone,

Now I’d like to share with you IGMP general query interval.

By default, the IGMP general query interval is 60 seconds.

A querier ends General Query messages periodically to maintain group memberships on interfaces. If multiple devices on a shared network segment run IGMP on user-side interfaces, ensure consistent querier parameter settings on these devices. Otherwise, IGMP may not run normally.

To change the default configuration:

For an IGMP querier, run the timer query interval command in the IGMP view or the igmp timer query interval command in the interface view.

For an IGMP snooping querier, run the igmp snooping query interval interval command in the VLAN view.

This is what I want to share with you today, thank you!
