PUM_TEM_ALM in RAU (8800)

The PUM_TEM_ALM alarm indicates that the working temperature of the pump laser exceeds the threshold. This alarm occurs when the operating temperature of the pump laser on the optical amplifier unit crosses the threshold.

• The cooling system of the pump laser is damaged.
  

• The pump laser has an excessive current.

Procedure

Step 1 Check whether the ambient temperature is normal. If not, improve it.

Step 2 If the alarm persists, perform a warm reset on the faulty board through the NMS.

Step 3 If the alarm persists, you can reseat the faulty board if it does not affect services.

Step 4 If the alarm persists, replace the faulty board.
