PTZ Fails to Respond
Symptom
When a user controls a PTZ, the PTZ does not respond to the control command, and no message is displayed.
Possible Causes
- The PTZ is occupied when the camera is in an external domain.
- The network connection between the camera and the platform is faulty.
- The PTZ is faulty.
Solution
- Check whether the PTZ of the external domain camera is preempted.
- Check whether the camera is in an external domain.
NOTE:In the camera list, cameras marked with
are external domain devices.- If no, go to 2.
- If yes, go to the next step.
- Wait for several minutes, control the PTZ again, and check whether the PTZ responds properly.
- If yes, the troubleshooting ends. The PTZ fails to respond because it is occupied.
- If no, go to the next step.
- Ask the peer platform to rectify the fault and check whether the fault is rectified.
If the fault is rectified, no further action is required. If the fault persists, go to the next step.
- Check whether the camera is in an external domain.
- Run the ping command to check the network connection between the camera and the platform.
- If the network connection is faulty, locate the network fault and check whether the network fault is rectified.
If the fault is rectified, no further action is required. If the fault persists, go to 3.
- If the network connection is normal, go to the next step.
- If the network connection is faulty, locate the network fault and check whether the network fault is rectified.
- Check whether the PTZ is faulty.
- Find associated camera hardware and check PTZ faults, for example, cable disconnection.
- If the PTZ is not faulty, contact Huawei technical support engineers.
- If the PTZ is faulty, go to the next step.
- Locate the PTZ faulty and check whether the fault is rectified.
If the fault is rectified, no further action is required. If the fault persists, contact Huawei technical support engineers.
- Find associated camera hardware and check PTZ faults, for example, cable disconnection.
