Protection Zone
Users can create a protection zone for associated alarm sources and alarm output devices in a specified area. The protection zone function allows users to deploy surveillance over or withdraw surveillance from and set alarm linkage policies for devices in a protection zone in a unified manner. When an alarm is generated in the protection zone, the system performs the preset linkage action, which enhances effectiveness and promptness of event handling.
Example:
Cameras and an alarm bell have been installed at important exits and windows of a warehouse. The administrator sets the area where the cameras and alarm bell are located as a protection zone and deploys motion detection surveillance over the protection zone from 18:00 to 6:00 each day. If a person enters the warehouse during the deployment period, the system generates an alarm, which triggers the alarm bell to ring. The system also automatically notifies the administrator of the alarm through an email or SMS message.
