Dear All/Expert,

Does the configuration of different type of ports (GE/FE, ALMI/ALMO,ETH/OAM) is same or different based on the ports?

Chassis

Lets say if I want to configure alarms using ALMI/ALMO port, does the configuration is same as for GE/FE port?

ALMI/ALMO port

If it is different, can share on how to configure alarms for this ALMI/ALMO port?

Thank you,

Hi, friend!

The methods for generating alarms are the same, and no special command is required. When alarm information is output, the ALMO interface needs to be used together with the Ops Assistant. You need to configure commands to output alarm information.

<HUAWEI> system-view

[~HUAWEI] output-alarm slot 1 index 0 level eq major

Operation Success.

Hi @fuzi_yao,

As I check on Hedex, the "output alarm" command is supported only on the ATN 950D980C series and ATN 980B. You can refer to below link:

I think it is supported, and I think the meaning in the document means that in the 950 and 980 series, only the 980 supports it. Maybe we can configure the command on the device to check whether the device supports the.

Yes, just be careful. If you need to output alarm information to other devices, you need to use the Ops Assistant together.
