Hi all,
I bought a Huawei P30 pro this week and I'm very happy, the phone is a beast and the cameras are unbelievable. I'm a photography aficionado (by no means a pro, but I know how to use the main settings in a DSLR, and what shutter speed, aperture, ISO, etc. do, and finally the day has come when I doubt whether it makes sense to have a dedicated camera anymore...)
But I have a problem with the cloud backups and I haven't found much information in the Internet, so let's see if any kind soul can help https://9apps.ooo/.
When I set up the phone, I transferred a lot of photos from my old phone, and I enabled the Huawei cloud backup (because I didn't think about space limits, and I wanted to get started using the phone so I basically was saying yes to most things without much thought).
Now I realize I don't have enough space in the free Huawei cloud because I already have like 20 GB of photos. Shouldn't be a problem: I can use my Google account for photo syncing (I pay for extra Google Drive space so I don't have space issues there) and the Huawei account for syncing of messages, WiFi, etc.
So I set the settings so the phone doesn't sync photos to the cloud. Problem: I did this too late so my Huawei cloud space is already clogged with photos, and now it cannot sync anything.
So my question is: how do I remove the photos from the Huawei cloud without affecting those in the phone? I have tried going to the cloud website, selecting the photos and clicking delete, but then I get a message saying that the photos would be deleted also from synced devices. I don't want to delete the photos from my phone, that's a big red flag!
What I would like is to remove the photos from the cloud but keeping all of them on the phone. Any solutions?
An option to wipe the cloud account and start over with syncing (but again, without affecting any data on the phone) would also do the trick for me.
