HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)

Hi friends,

I use the HG8546M ONT modem in our access network.

I want to manage ONT using the OMCI protocol. I config ONT to have data flow in the bridge mode using the OMCI packet which sends from OLT in this mode everything is ok and I have data flow.

my problem is in route mode. In route mode I can not have data flow. In G.988 standard (OMCI protocol) we have a specific ME called IP host configuration data which is related to layer 3 service. Is it any solution to config this ME in ONT?

To have data flow which MEs from OMCI protocol must be set in the ONT?

thanks

Hello, friend!

Through your question description,

You can log in to the ONT WebUI, select a Layer 3 interface, add a route WAN, and set the configured VLAN on the WAN configuration page.

But it depends on whether your routing configuration works.

Thanks!

Hi, my friend!
Can you tell me in more detail what this ME is?
And your question is how to enable the ONT to implement service flows on OMCI?

This ME is used for layer 3 service it is called IP host config data which is described in G.988 protocol (chapter 9.4.1).
yes, I want to have service in route mode (Bridge mode is OK), for managing and config ONT I use OMCI.

As I mentioned below, this depends on the route configuration of the ONT. If the route of the ONT cannot work, you can refer to the following link to collect device information:
